At Benson Hill we are fortunate and proud to be a part of a beautifully diverse and culturally rich community. We are excited to celebrate this diversity at our upcoming Multicultural Night on Thursday, November 7 at 6:00pm. This evening will provide students, families, and staff the opportunity to learn about and celebrate the many cultures of our Benson Hill community.
Home of the Bobcats!
“All Bobcats are valued, connected, and learning through active intellectual engagement.”
At Benson Hill, we are committed to:
- Engagement in Learning - Deepening our understanding through discussing, listening, debating, questioning, and discovering
- Social Emotional Learning - Building awareness and skills in managing emotions, setting goals, establishing relationships, showing empathy, and making responsible decisions
- Family & Community Engagement - Working together as partners with our families and community and learning from one another to contribute to learning
- Cultural Competency - Building meaningful relationships and valuing and leveraging differences to draw out unique strengths
DiscoverU week is an exciting time for our community to come together and support students in exploring career and college options. DiscoverU puts student interests at the center and helps connect their aspirations with the many pathways to get there.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. On October 10, students watched a play by the Taproot Theatre called, Super School. During the play, students learned how to Recognize, Report, and Refuse. Together, we can work to make Benson Hill an even safer and welcoming place for all students!
