Right At School is our fee-based safe, fun, and enriching before- and after-school program for students at each of our elementary schools. Right At School’s mission is to support the needs of our school community, inspire a love of learning in kids, and give parents and guardians peace of mind. They are offering registration for the coming school year.
Choose which program works best for your child's schedule:
Before-school programs are 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. (8:55 AM for our 4 schools that start later)
After-school programs begin at 3:10 (3:35 for our 4 schools that end later) to 6:00 PM
Friday late start Before-school programs are 6:30 to 10 (10:25 for later starting schools)

A: The district made a Request for Proposals (RFP) to local, state, and national childcare organizations and individuals, for offers to provide programs at our elementary schools. After receiving proposals, a team of district staff conducted several onsite visits to those with a proven reputation and ability to provide programs. Right At School was selected based on that criteria. They have similar programs at several other school districts in the state.

A: To register for your school's Right At School program, visit this website and choose Washington, Renton, then your school.
Q: How do we learn more about the Right At School program?
A: Families will be able to choose if they want to participate in the before-school program, after-school program or both; as well as other options. There are also discounts based on family size and income.
Q: What does a typical Right At School schedule look like for students?
Q: Is school bus transportation provided to the Right At School program?
A: No. The before- and after-school program is provided as a supplemental service to families who choose to use it. The district will not provide school bus transportation; families who use the service will be responsible for transportation.

A: Yes, Right At School offers programs on days when staff report to school, but students do not.
Q: Does Right At School offer programs during school breaks?
A: Yes.
Q: Will Right At School be open if schools are closed due to snow or inclement weather?
A: No. Because the district deems it unsafe for students, families to walk, drive to school due to bad weather, Right At School will also not be open on those days.

A: Yes, Right At School accepts children in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all other relevant federal, state and local laws.

Q: Is there a waitlist for Right At School?
A: Right At School does not have a maximum attendance at each site. They staff according to student enrollment at each individual elementary school site.
